The 2023 Canadian Optimist Dinghy Championships will be held at West Vancouver Yacht Club from Aug 21st to 26th, 2023. Prior to the championships, an optional regatta will be held at Whistler Yacht Club from August 19th and 20th. This is a wonderful opportunity to train and see more of Beautiful British Columbia! In addition, coaches are welcome to arrive at West Vancouver YC from 19th onwards in order to train their sailors and become familiar with the venue.
WVYC is looking forward to hosting this great annual event having hosted it previously. The club is a friendly and engaging group of boaters passionate about sailing for life. Billeting will be available for coaches. For accommodation, hotels are available in North Vancouver in the following areas: Lonsdale Quay, Capilano Road, and the Holiday Inn near Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.
