Due to the ongoing developments in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the organizing committee of the 2020 Canadian Optimist National Dinghy regatta, the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association (CODA) and Chester Yacht Club (CYC) are monitoring closely the status of the virus and the impact it may have on our event, currently scheduled for August 20 to 26, 2020.
With guidance from the Nova Scotia Chief Medical Officer, Canadian and global health authorities, we will continue to monitor developments in the global COVID-19 pandemic situation on a daily basis. At this time, we will wait until April 1, 2020, to make any decisions as to when we might launch registration and will advise, as soon as possible, of any upcoming event news as the information becomes available.
