Sailing is a year round sport!
Many CAN Optimist sailors from all regions trained and raced in Miami this March.
Miami is known as the meca of sailing in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter and once again, it received our crew with optimal sailing conditions.
Based out of Coconut Grove Sailing Club, our Canadian sailors and coaches had a spectacular training camp that also included this year for the second time, the Miami Sailing Week and CANAMERICAN Cup Regatta.
For all keen optimist sailors, March Break in Miami is an excellent opportunity to step up your sailing and have the possibility to train and race with some of the most competitive sailors in the US.
Mark the dates in your calendar for next year and feel free to contact your CODA Reps for more info.
Once again, big thank you to the clubs that make those opportunities available to all Canadian sailors that make sailing a year round sport: Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS) and Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC)
Thank you Alberto Olivo and Coconut Grove Sailing Club for hosting our team and make them feel at home!
